Strategy
Patch 0.5.3 quietly reshaped how you juice the endgame, and the net effect is that your average map is now noticeably more profitable than before. The headline is a bug fix: the tablet-effect nodes inside cities were silently doing nothing, costing you roughly 24% tablet effect on rarity, pack size, and quantity. With that fixed, every map run inside a juiced city is dramatically richer — on some stats you can see 30-40% more loot on average because the bonuses multiply together.
The trade-off is that Grand Mirror maps no longer grant double tablet effect (they now just guarantee a Blur Mirror), so the old play of spawning Grand Mirrors inside cities to multiply tablet effect is dead. The new flow is simpler: rush from city to city as fast as possible rather than meticulously prepping Grand Mirrors. You still want Grand Mirrors to spawn for Delirium, but you no longer care where they land. This guide is for endgame players already running city/tablet juicing who want to re-tune for 0.5.3.
Atlas Tree & Setup
The biggest atlas change is that you now reach the 50% tablet-effect breakpoint naturally, without needing Hilda or Jato. That breakpoint is what flips the “map has additional random modifiers” tablet up to +3 modifiers. Because you no longer need Hilda/Jato just to hit it, Doryani becomes a very strong atlas-passive option for Abyss and rare/Breach juicing — it felt extremely strong in post-patch testing and may be the new meta there. Jato remains the only option for Ritual; for Abyss and Breach, try Doryani instead. A sample setup uses four passives, and you can swap a disengage/safety node for +1 revive if you sometimes die mid-map. Specifics to confirm against the source video.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: mid — requires atlas progression plus tablets and city access. Returns: high — roughly 30-40% more loot per juiced city map from the tablet fix alone, plus guaranteed multi-divine drops from the buffed Abyss boss chain. Scaling: scales with how heavily you tablet/Delirium your cities.
Delirium is broadly buffed: mirrors now spawn rare monsters (they previously did not), splinter drops are up, and the old bug where Delirium monsters stopped spawning past 150% is fixed — so 200% Delirium city maps finally feel as juicy as they should. Expedition also received buffs and is more profitable than before.
Step-by-step
- Rush city to city rather than prepping Grand Mirrors in place — Grand Mirror double-tablet is gone.
- Lean into city/tablet juicing now that the 24% tablet-effect bug is fixed; every city map is worth more.
- Swap your Abyss and Breach atlas strats toward Doryani; keep Jato for Ritual.
- Run Delirium as a viable pure-endgame strat — note the Deli boss-rush cheese (teleport to spawn all mirrors at once) is nerfed, so clear mirrors as you go.
- Always fight the Abyss Lightless Void boss — it guarantees a Kosis/Kulemak invitation, and the full-power fight guarantees an Ancient Desecrated item worth multiple divines.
- Rebuild budget wands now that the alloy is back (31% cast speed, 11% added cold — nerfed from legacy but cheap and craftable).
Risks
- The Grand Mirror double-tablet strat and the Delirium boss-rush cheese are both dead — old guides will mislead you.
- Ancient Desecrated item prices may fall as more players farm the Abyss boss chain.
- Expedition and Doryani numbers are early-test impressions; more testing is warranted before going all-in.
