Strategy
This is a ritual-gambling method for hunting ultra-rare items like Mageblood and Headhunter using the Head of the King. Instead of clearing content, you spam Head of the King on a carefully-chosen map layout that maximizes the number of ritual outcomes, then check each outcome for a high-value reward. The creator collected over 124 Head of the King and found a Mageblood offered directly as a ritual bounty after roughly 32 attempts — a run that cost under 50 divine at the time.
The core insight is that the map zone itself does not change your odds; what matters is the total number of ritual outcomes you can generate per Head of the King. More outcomes means a higher chance of valuable loot — omens of light, annulment, weathering, chance, or the rare belts themselves. You want a starting zone that yields at least 15–17 outcomes before you commit to spamming.
Atlas Tree & Setup
Take the extra Rite of the Namelist so you get six ritual chains instead of five — this substantially improves your chance of hitting rewards over five divine or an ultra-rare. Before spending anything, path through five of your six ritual maps without completing the final pathing; this lets you reset and re-test which zone produces the most outcomes. Bookmark the starting waypoint of a zone that reaches 15+ outcomes so you can return and spam efficiently. Specific atlas/ritual node choices to confirm against the source video.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: mid — Head of the King costs around 1 divine each early (rising through the league); a full run is ~30–50 divine of heads.
- Returns: high — a single Mageblood bounty is 150–300 divine; uncorrupted Head of the King itself sits around 500 divine, so the method stays profitable as long as head prices don’t spike and Mageblood doesn’t crash.
- Scaling: high-outcome zones (15–17+) let you gamble for ultra-rares; lower-outcome zones are better for steady high-value currency (weathering, sinister element, chaos omens).
Step-by-step
- Complete the initial ritual chain event at Kalguuran altars so you can attach Head of the King, and take the extra Rite of the Namelist for a sixth map.
- Path through your ritual maps counting outcomes per node — do NOT complete the final path — and find a zone reaching at least 15 outcomes.
- Bookmark that zone’s starting waypoint and note the exact path that maximizes outcomes.
- Fill your inventory with Head of the King, return to the bookmarked zone, and spam — checking each outcome for Mageblood, Headhunter, or omens over 10 divine.
- Decide your exit: option one is high-risk/high-reward (keep going until you hit 100+ div, only worth it on 15–17 outcome zones); option two is banking steady 2–10 div outcomes as they appear roughly every five attempts.
Risks
- Genuine RNG — one player found Mageblood in 24 heads, another may burn 200+ heads (150–300 div) before hitting.
- Profitability is price-dependent: if Head of the King spikes or Mageblood drops, margins evaporate.
- Setup is slow — expect ~15 minutes just to find and bookmark a good high-outcome zone before spamming.
- Chasing ultra-rares means passing up genuinely good 5–7 div outcomes; know when to bank.
