Strategy
This guide covers a practical league-start atlas completion strategy and mechanic tier ranking for patch 0.5, based on reaching 100% endgame completion within two days of league launch. The core approach is to rush Atlas points first before committing to any farming loop — skipping league mechanics entirely until the main passive tree is filled out. Once the Atlas is complete, the focus shifts to high-yield mechanics: Temple of Atzoatl and Abyss rank S-tier, Delirium is strong for tankier characters, and Expedition (especially paired with Runes of Aldur saga tablets) offers high-end currency potential.
This strategy suits players who want to efficiently complete endgame progression before transitioning into a dedicated farming build. It is especially relevant during early league when tablet and currency prices are volatile and grand project tablets can dramatically accelerate fortress map discovery.
Atlas Tree & Setup
- Main Atlas completion: Kill Arbiter of Divinity five times and manually clear tower maps (tower points are not auto-allocated on area completion).
- Fortress map strategy: After first Arbiter kill, activate the side node covering the most map nodes. Then travel tower-to-tower outside the Citadel to locate Matriarch/Patriarch fragments for subsequent kills. Grand project tablets speed this up significantly if budget allows.
- Rush strategy: Until Atlas is complete, ignore all league mechanic content — just kill boss, next map, repeat.
- Abyss: Fastest Atlas point unlock — reviving Vessel of Kulemak each time awards bonus point batches.
- Temple: Use one tablet per map to accumulate crystals. Every two to three maps opens a Temple; every two Temples unlocks an Atziri fight. Target Architect rooms, linear gem rooms, and the corruption room for top value.
- Delirium: Allocate all available Delirium nodes. Best played on a tanky character; Distilled Emotions drop for both anoints and jewel crafting, making raw profits high.
- Expedition: Sea Research maps at the bottom of the Atlas are highlighted as exceptional. Combine Runes of Aldur saga tablets with Elder’s Legacy tablets (worth 30–40 div) for potential large payouts.
- Breach & Ritual: Rated below average for raw currency. Breach currency splinters have poor return rate (~1 divine per 40–50 opened); Ritual is hit-or-miss and time-intensive without full tablet investment.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: Low — base strategy requires no upfront currency; grand project tablets are optional and expensive but not required.
- Returns: Mid yield overall; Temple can push high with Atziri drops (raw divines, 2 div cultivation orbs, valuable uniques like Saqawal’s Tear). Expedition with Elder’s Legacy tablets can hit high-end payouts.
- Essence crafting bonus tip: Buy cheap boots with good suffixes, apply Essence of Hysteria (~98 exalts) to force movement speed as a prefix, then add a rune. Boots hitting mana can reach 10+ divines; even off-results yield 2–3 div. The creator reported ~50 divines profit from this method alone early league.
- Scales with: Tankier builds can push Delirium harder; heavier tablet investment amplifies all mechanics.
Step-by-step
- Enter the endgame and prioritize Citadel / Arbiter of Divinity kills to unlock main Atlas passive points.
- After each Arbiter kill, activate the fortress side covering the fewest completed maps, then travel tower-to-tower to find the next Matriarch/Patriarch fragments. Use grand project tablets if budget allows.
- Optionally complete Abyss Atlas points first — revive Vessel of Kulemak on each encounter to batch-collect bonus points quickly.
- Once your target Atlas passives are allocated, begin mechanic-focused mapping.
- For Temple: insert one tablet per map to build crystal stacks, enter Temple when available, prioritize linear gem rooms and the Architect’s power upgrades, and run Atziri whenever accessible.
- For Delirium: ensure your character is durable before engaging — Distilled Emotions are the primary target.
- For Expedition: target Sea Research maps and combine saga tablets with Elder’s Legacy tablets for high-value rune pops.
- As a side income, snipe cheap boots with solid suffixes, use Essence of Hysteria, add a rune, and list them — even floor results are profitable early league.
Risks
- Delirium is punishing for low-defense characters; deaths during fog events waste time and can be costly.
- Grand project tablet prices spiked significantly after league launch, making the fast-completion route expensive if you miss the early window.
- The essence crafting method saturates quickly — once many players adopt it, cheap base boot prices rise and margin compresses.
- Ritual and Breach are rated lower in this assessment but may improve significantly with full tablet investment; the creator did not test maximum-investment versions of either.
