Strategy
This is a deliberately low-budget, no-hyper-optimisation Abyss test — the ‘budget yolo abyss’ approach that reflects how most players will actually farm without spending 10 Divine on a single tablet. The method: buy cheap white Abyss tablets (~60 Exalted each), transmute/regal/exalt them so each has at least one good modifier, and just run them. No premium 5-mod tablets, no 100-Divine setup — just one good mod per tablet and go.
The creator tracked the full result across 36 maps and ended well ahead of expectations: 22 Omens of Abyssal Echo, 7 Omens of Light, 17 raw Divines, Heart of the Well jewels, expedition logbooks, anointed jewels and a pile of exalts/chaos. After liquidating, that came out to roughly 85–90 Divine from 36 maps — far better than a ‘budget’ run sounds like it should be.
The key takeaway is that even unoptimised Abyss prints, and that new players often have far more currency sitting in their stash than they realise once they liquidate it.
Atlas Tree & Setup
A fully-allocated tree is assumed. The important Abyss choices: take Amanumu so you can get Amanumu’s Void (the black cloud under a monster), plus the node for increased chance to find abyssal omens and the increased effectiveness per closed pit node. Use Doriani / irradiated so all maps are radiated, and take a couple of defensive/revival nodes if you’re softcore. Roughly 65% item rarity is enough to make the numbers work here.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: LOW — 36 maps, 36 Orbs of Alchemy, a couple of exalts per map, and cheap ~60-Ex white Abyss tablets rolled to one good mod
- Returns: MID-to-HIGH for the cost — ~85–90 Divine from 36 maps in this test (22 Abyssal Echo, 7 Omen of Light, 17 raw Divine, 2 Hearts of the Well, logbooks, anointed jewels)
- Scaling: results are variable, but even minimal investment reliably prints; better tablet mods scale it up
Step-by-step
- Buy cheap white Abyss tablets (~60 Ex). Transmute each; if it hits something good, Regal + Exalt; if not, Alchemy and re-roll. You’ll almost always land at least one good mod.
- Alchemy your maps and exalt them twice — nothing fancier than that.
- Make sure maps are radiated via Doriani and take a revival node if you’re cautious.
- Run the maps; when an Amanumu monster spawns with the black void cloud, pull it OUT and then kill it for the better omens (otherwise it only drops Omen of the Leech).
- Kill rogue exiles that naturally spawn on abysses for a guaranteed Heart of the Well (sell unidentified ~3 Div, or ID it yourself for fun/upside).
- Liquidate properly — open stash + trade at once, control-click to list. Always price-check against competing trades, and consider undercutting by one to sell fast on falling-price items like Omen of Light.
Risks
- Pulling void monsters out can be tough on some builds — it’s the only real skill check here
- Yields are luck-dependent; a single run can swing high or low even if the average is strong
- Tablet and omen prices move fast as the strategy gets popular — price-check before buying or selling
- White Abyss tablets at ~60 Ex aren’t free; budget still means a real (if small) up-front cost
