When a player says they make “10 or 20 divines an hour,” newer players often picture that many raw divines. In reality the income is a pile of small scraps — currency, fragments, idols, splinters and uniques — that only become divines once you actually liquidate them. This guide is about that overlooked skill: turning the loot sitting in your stash into realized currency. It sounds basic, but most players hoard value they never sell.
The core habit is to go tab by tab and price-check everything against the live market, paying attention to the difference between the buying price (what people offer) and the selling price (what other sellers list at). Instant-selling at the buy price often means leaving 2–3x on the table.
Atlas Tree & Setup
This is a trade/currency-management guide rather than a map strategy, so there is no atlas tree. The only setup is logistics: place a stash next to an NPC, click the stash then quickly click the NPC to open the trade flow. Control-click to list items, control-right-click to pull a full stack out of your stash instantly.

- Investment: low (just time and attention) · Returns: mid — pure conversion of already-farmed loot into liquid currency
- The biggest gains come from the non-currency tabs: fragments, simulacrum splinters, idols (Fox/Rabbit), Sagas, expedition logs and stray uniques that quietly add up to divines
Step-by-step
- Set up your stash next to a trade NPC for fast listing.
- Don’t dump everything into divines — keep a diverse spread (Exalts, Chaos, Divines) since the market fluctuates.
- Always check the live going rate and undercut slightly rather than instant-selling at the buy price.
- Work through every tab, not just Currency — fragments, abyss, expedition and idol tabs hide the most value.
- Sell full stacks of low-value items (idols, splinters) in bulk; they add up to multiple divines.
- Use poe.ninja for a rough price reference, but treat it as delayed/approximate versus the live trade board.
Risks
- Prices shift while you list — re-check before confirming an order
- Over-converting into a single currency exposes you to market swings; diversify
- No in-game stash-value snapshot tool (like wealthyexile) exists yet in PoE2, so liquidation is manual and time-consuming
- Some items are worth holding rather than dumping (expedition logs, certain uniques)
