Strategy
This is a raw-currency Expedition farm built around chaining Grand Expeditions inside your Logbook runs. GGG buffed Expedition several times across 0.5, and the mechanic now pays out reliably even on a budget. Instead of leaning on Olroth or other expensive sagas, you run plain Logbooks as fast as possible and only spend your juiced setup on the maps that actually matter: the Grand Expeditions (the ones flagged with the special icon).
The bulk of your profit comes from the Vivid Marrows you cash in at the Expedition vendors, but the monsters themselves have become a real secondary income stream this patch. Expedition packs scale hard with monster effectiveness and rarity, so layering those stats through tablets and your waystone turns each Grand Expedition into a wall of Chaos Orbs, Greater/Perfect Chaos, and the occasional Divine. With enough rune density on the map you also get genuine jackpot potential.
It is aimed at players who want a low-floor, low-skill currency strategy. The cheap variant runs on roughly six Divines of tablets and any half-decent mapper can clear it; a harder, higher-loot variant exists for stronger builds that can handle extra map modifiers.
Atlas Tree & Setup
The backbone is the Jadon (“Jado”) spec craft path. Jadon gives you Eastern Voyage for Vivid Remnants (10% chance to roll an additional reward) plus Unexpected Missions, which adds +1 random modifier to every corrupted waystone, lifting general monster loot. Because of Unexpected Missions, corrupting your waystones is effectively mandatory to capture all the bonuses, and Jadon’s Partial Translations node adds 0-40% increased effect of explicit modifiers on tablets on top. Exact node names and pathing specifics to confirm against the source video.
Normal maps are treated as filler. Run them with random waystones and no tablets, clear them fast, and funnel toward Grand Expeditions where you spend the good stuff.
Waystone prep: take a base waystone, push max modifiers, and use Omen of Chaotic Quantity (optionally paired with Omen of Chaotic Monsters) with a Chaos Orb to roll into monster effectiveness, monster rarity, and item rarity. Item rarity is the top priority, monster effectiveness second, monster rarity least important. Aim for results around 30% monster effectiveness and ~50% item rarity, then corrupt with a Vaal Orb to claim the Jadon plus-one modifier.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: low (cheap variant ~6 Divines of tablets, or as little as ~1 Divine apiece if you minimize rolls) · Returns: mid, scaling with divines/hour through clear speed · the harder double-modifier variant raises tablet cost to ~3 Divines each and lifts loot ceiling, but the creator considers maxing every stat (12 Divines/tablet) not worth it.
Profit scales three ways: faster clears = more Grand Expeditions per hour, more rune density per Expedition = better monster drops, and higher item rarity (character + waystone + tablets) = better rare drops.
Step-by-step
- Run the Jadon atlas spec and always corrupt your waystones to trigger Unexpected Missions.
- Buy three identical irradiated tablets. Cheap variant: ~8-10% item rarity + ~10-30% monster effectiveness (about 1-2 Divines each). Avoid any tablet with increased gold found in maps, as gold piles are believed to dilute your loot.
- Optional harder variant: tablets with “map has 2 additional random modifiers” plus a little rarity/effectiveness (~3 Divines each); the creator runs one effectiveness tablet and two rarity tablets.
- Stock basic Logbooks. Sagas are optional; Olroth/Urtha-style boss sagas are not required, run without them or with any random saga.
- Craft your waystone: max mods, Omen of Chaotic Quantity (+ Chaotic Monsters) with a Chaos Orb for effectiveness/rarity, then corrupt with a Vaal Orb.
- Spend the good tablets and crafted waystone ONLY on Grand Expedition maps; clear normal maps fast and empty.
- Inside the Expedition, prioritize currency and rune-dense nodes. Grab Bond runes first (rare monsters transfer mods on death) and place the Bond detonation immediately to chain-buff rares. Pick up Soul runes and totem nodes for extra monster rarity.
- Cash in your Vivid Marrows at the vendor and keep your character at 100-150% item rarity.
Risks
- Profit leans heavily on current Chaos Orb and Vivid Marrow prices; a market shift changes the math.
- Gold-found tablet mods can actively reduce your loot, so they must be filtered out manually.
- The double-modifier variant raises map difficulty and is only comfortable on a strong build.
- Specific drop rates and divines/hour are not stated in the source and will vary with build, clear speed, and luck.
