Strategy
Patch 0.5.2 buffed Expedition enough that logbook farming is once again a strong currency strategy, and the island rumour system is now well enough understood to target specific high-value loot. The headline payout is the Outdoor (Aldor) Saga, which sells for roughly 23-25 divines each, and the whole method is built around reliably generating them while running logbook zones as fast as possible. Profit is directly tied to speed: the quicker you clear each zone and move to the next, the more rumour checks you get and the more sagas you print.
This is a mid-investment, knowledge-heavy strategy aimed at players comfortable reading Expedition rumours and willing to keep a stock of sagas and logbooks on hand. It does not need an expensive rarity character — just a fast clearer.
Atlas Tree & Setup
Run Jadon (eastern, no-bonus Visium remnant rerolls) as your default master, and keep the four sagas stocked: Verana/Veranas, Oroth/Urat, Medvet, and the Outdoor (Aldor) Saga. Don’t forget Untold Histories for a chance at Lineage Supports from Expedition bosses. The key trick: when you open a zone, the rumour icons shift position or change depending on which saga is active, so check every icon under each saga (Veranas first, then Oroth, then Medvet) to hunt for the best rumours. Specifics of exact atlas passive allocation should be confirmed against the source video.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: mid — you must buy sagas and logbooks continuously to keep farming
- Returns: high — a single Fallen Stars proc guarantees an Outdoor Saga worth ~25 divines, and you can expect to find roughly one per 1.5-2 hours while still profiting heavily from boss drops and resold sagas in between
- Scales with clear speed: faster map clears multiply your saga-per-hour and currency-per-hour
Step-by-step
- Stock Jadon, all four sagas, Untold Histories, and a supply of logbooks.
- Open zones and check every rumour icon under each saga, hunting for Fallen Stars — it guarantees a unique map that drops an Outdoor Saga once you cover the remnants.
- If no Fallen Stars, push forward with the best available rumour: Star Drinker (near-free Urat boss fight) or Sulfite (rarity-boosted map) are the next best picks.
- Inside basic Expedition maps, identify good rune/remnant combos fast — grab divines and valuable currency, detonate, and leave immediately. Don’t linger in maps with no rewards.
- Use Oroth saga to fight the better boss (Jadon) hoping for Lineage Supports; sell the other sagas you collect.
- Swap to Doryani’s hidden patterns (10% chance to make a nearby map accessible) on travel maps to skip ahead and finish zones faster; swap back to Jadon for boss/Expedition maps.
Risks
- The Outdoor/Aldor Saga itself is a ~25 divine gamble — it can fail to pay for itself, so only run it (ideally in open-ocean zones) if you understand the risk; most of the time just sell them.
- Profit collapses if you move slowly — this strategy lives or dies on clear speed.
- Saga and logbook prices fluctuate; check the market before committing currency.
