Strategy
This is a staged Expedition farming plan updated for 0.5.5. The patch removed the Altur fragment that used to anchor Expedition income; its modifiers now roll randomly on Grand Expeditions instead (for example guaranteed minimum rune-socket counts on remnants). Rune-related quests now start in Act 4 — if Expedition content shows as locked, redo the Act 4 map-collection quest. Enemies also feel less punishing than last league.
The money comes from three places: Grand Expedition remnants with many sockets (10 sockets can yield an Altur legacy worth around 40 div), Uthred’s boss (roughly a 1-in-20 chance at a depleted Mana Rune that becomes a ~200 div wand once you hold 10,000+ mana — obtainable once per class), and Olroth, who drops pricey Uthred lineage supports. The method works from fresh endgame through a fully juiced setup, with the creator reporting 400–500 div earned alongside other activities.
Atlas Tree & Setup
- Finish the story line and kill the Arbiter of Divinity twice (0.5.5 only unlocks all ~300 atlas points on the second kill); grab the bonus passive point after the first kill
- Unlock all 24 Expedition atlas points by visiting the ruins of Kingsmarch and defeating the Expedition bosses up to Olroth
- Expedition tree: more remnants over explosives, runic monsters spawn with 20% less life, +25% Expedition encounter chance, +1% item quantity per runic mod, 25% chance for an extra runic mod
- Biome: Desert for +15% monster effectiveness (Mountain is the alternative for +50% precursor tablet drops)
- Atlas Master: Jado, unlocked through the anomaly maps — corrupted waystones gain an extra mod, Verisium remnants reroll lucky 10% of the time, tablet implicits get 0–40% stronger, +50% pinnacle lineage support chance
Investment & Returns
- Investment: low to start (logbooks are ~5 per 1 div this league); high at the juiced stage
- Returns: early endgame around 2.5 div per map and ~10 div/hr; big remnants occasionally 6–10 div each
- Scaling: stack monster effectiveness on precursor tablets, run 6-mod corrupted waystones, add “random extra mod” tablets (~5 div each)
Step-by-step
- Use logbooks freely and target areas marked for Olroth or Uthred rather than the old fallen-sky sites
- Read the mods on each Grand Expedition inside the logbook area and prioritise high-socket remnants
- While travelling between Grand Expeditions, either farm precursor tablets (Mountain biome) or drop Delirium Simulacrum-splinter tablets
- Early on, detonate only the valuable remnants — extra detonations make enemies stronger
- Spend spare div on Liquid Verisium (~30–40 per div), accepting that it removes reward choice
- In the juiced stage, detonate the highest-socket remnants last so more monsters feed the best reward
- Destroy the three precursor beacons in excavated ruins to reveal neighbouring maps and path toward new sites
Risks
- Extra mods on waystones and tablets make monsters much more dangerous — the creator died once in ten juiced maps
- Stun and freeze kill often; run stun/freeze immunity charms
- Liquid Verisium removes reward selection
- Only precursor tablets work in Grand Expeditions; Expedition tablet mods do nothing there
