Strategy
This is a budget-friendly Expedition farm built for casual players who found the mechanic too fiddly or too deadly to run efficiently. Instead of chasing the max-juice meta, it trims setup time to the bone: no crafting or corrupting waystones, just alch-and-go T15 maps, cheap sub-divine tablets, and a small stable of master and tablet sets you swap between three flavours of map. Over an 80-map sample it returned roughly 6.8 divine per map before rare jackpot drops (a Headhunter and a Depleted Mana Rune), and around 15 divine per map if you count those.
It works this patch because Expedition’s log books self-sustain at T15, and the real profit comes from remnant explosions and boss lineage-support drops rather than from perfectly rolled maps. The key insight is that difficulty and reward are the same lever: the more runic modifiers you send forward in the remnant chain, the harder the fight and the bigger the loot. Because that lever is fully adjustable, you can dial the farm down until it is comfortable for an off-meta or lower-budget character and still profit.
It is for players who want a repeatable, low-stress currency method that does not demand a top-tier build or heavy investment, and who would rather blast maps than min-max every rumour and tablet.
Atlas Tree & Setup
You run three flavours of map: travel maps (guaranteed Expedition encounter), grand expeditions (the swirl-star maps), and Expedition boss maps. Each uses its own master and tablet set that you keep in your inventory and swap with a left-click.
- Travel maps: master Hilda for Scarred Lands (more runic monster markers and rare Expedition monsters = more log books). Bring the Abyss mechanic if you have the tree, since Abyss overlapping Expedition makes runic monsters abyssal for up to 100% increased effectiveness and far more log books. Tablets target rarity and increased monster effectiveness.
- Grand expeditions: master Doriani (Doriani Science + Refined Formula) for five massive explosions and speed, deviating from the popular Jorgin/Eastern Knowledge reroll meta. Use irradiated tablets for the +1 area level (T15 becomes area level 81 with The Quest Continues node) plus rarity and effectiveness. Volatile Connection adds a fracturing-orb chance.
- Boss maps: master Jorgin with overseer tablets. Untold Histories gives +35% chance to find lineage supports, Keen Appraisal adds exceptional items, and Forest Mastery plus counting maps as forests stacks another +50% lineage chance.
Atlas passives called out: 25% chance for remnants to count as power-rune affected, additional prism remnant, runic monsters spawn with 20% life missing, an extra remnant, forest nodes, and the double-or-nothing difficulty node (specific node names and exact tree pathing to confirm against the source video).
Investment & Returns
- Investment: low (sub-divine tablets, ~3-for-1-divine boss sagas, no map crafting) · Returns: mid (~6.8 div/map net baseline, ~15 div/map with jackpots) · Scales up by raising the double-or-nothing difficulty node and sending more runic modifiers forward, and by running Abyss overlap on travel maps.
Step-by-step
- Buy three tablet sets (travel, grand-expedition irradiated, boss overseer) targeting rarity and effectiveness; keep them in your inventory.
- Alch-and-go your waystones to T15, rerolling only chilled ground or temporal-roll maps.
- On travel maps, run Hilda + Abyss, skip most remnants, and explode the runic-monster flags (double flags = rare-monster chance) to farm log books; hit Verisium sentries early to power up monsters.
- Chart with log books, prioritising Uncharted Waters with full (3+) island rumours; wiggle an inventory item to rotate and reveal hidden rumours, hunting Fallen Stars.
- On grand expeditions, swap to Doriani + irradiated tablets, check remnants for purple/high-rune value, and use the double-or-nothing node to control how much you send forward.
- Hit gold-rimmed rune slots to carry good modifiers (e.g. rarity) down the chain; watch for the Life Rune + Soul Rune combo, which spikes difficulty hard.
- On boss maps, run Jorgin + overseer tablets against Olroth (Origin of the Fall) and Utrid (Starrinker), using their sagas if the rumours do not appear, hunting lineage-support gems and quest drops.
Risks
- Sending too many runic modifiers forward, especially Life Rune plus Soul Rune, can wall an off-meta build; dial the double-or-nothing node down if you die.
- Log books do not self-sustain below T15, so the farm falls apart on lower tiers.
- Jackpot drops (Headhunter, valuable lineage gems, Alder’s Legacy) are rare and variance-heavy; do not bank on the ~15 div/map figure.
- Standing on the remnant when monsters spawn can box you in and kill you instantly.
