Strategy
The 0.5 Ritual rework plus a string of in-league hotfixes have turned what used to be a slow, unloved mechanic into one of the most reliable currency engines in the game. The money comes overwhelmingly from Omens — the most consistently valuable thing Ritual drops — and a well-tuned setup produces so many of them that the creator banked well over 200 Divines of Omens (before raw currency, uniques, and bases) in a single four-to-five-hour casual session. Forty Divines an hour is easily achievable and fifty is doable.
The whole strategy hinges on one thing: the gap between a good and a bad Ritual setup is enormous — the creator estimates a 10x multiplier. This guide is for players who already have a mapper that can clear juiced T15-16 maps and want a low-rarity, gear-independent way to convert map time into Divines, since Ritual scales off setup and rerolls rather than item rarity.
Atlas Tree & Setup
The core is running Rite of the Nameless rather than plain Ritual maps. Buy Heads of the King (roughly 1.5 Divines each), attach one, and set out a six-map chain — critically, these can be laid out in the ocean tiles so you run them alongside Expedition nodes. Rite of the Nameless grants extra Ritual favour, extra pages of rewards, and two special bonus types: foretold bounties (rewards added to the current map) and foretold proliferations, which propagate an Atlas-passive-like bonus across the whole chain — always hit the proliferation maps first. Press Escape before finishing a chain to reroll layouts without consuming the Head.
On the mastery, run Jado with unexpected missions, eastern knowledge, barcations, and keen appraisal. Atlas passives lean into swamp/ocean farming — Boss of the Bog (chance to replace a rare with a map boss inside Rituals), the swamp Chaos-orb conversion node, additional spirit, and summoning circles. Take every Ritual node before min-maxing; for the two choice nodes, take Tainted (easy, good reward pool) and stick with increased number of favours over the alternatives. Investment & Returns
- Investment: mid — Heads of the King (~1.5 Div each), two regular Ritual tablets, and the key unique tablet Freedom of Faith (currently cheap even with a good roll), which doubles your rerolls.
- Returns: high — 40-50 Divines/hour of Omens alone in the creator’s testing, on a character with zero rarity.
- Scaling: rerolls scale multiplicatively — Freedom of Faith plus Rite of the Nameless can reach ~14 rerolls per chain, so each extra page is another chance at a high-value Omen.
Step-by-step
- Buy Heads of the King and stock Freedom of Faith plus two Ritual tablets (aim for the four key suffixes below).
- Path to Kerath, attach a Head, and set a six-map Rite of the Nameless chain out in the ocean tiles so you also get Expedition.
- Prioritise the maps carrying foretold proliferations first, then clean up the bounty and remaining maps.
- On each map’s tablets, chase increased tribute, reduced rerolling cost, reduced deferring cost, and increased chance to be Omens — you want three of the four, backfilled by proliferation overlaps.
- Around Ritual four (before the boss room), open the tab, defer everything of value down to near-free using your reduced-deferring mods, and reroll through as many pages as possible hunting high-value Omens.
- Corrupt tablets with Atzoatl’s Temple infusers for a chance at a third suffix.
Risks
- Real skill curve is the micromanagement — you must flip pages, defer, and buy quickly to hit the high per-hour numbers.
- Rite of the Nameless Rituals can’t be converted into an Audience with the King, so you can’t cash a chain into one big purchase.
- Some maps rarely fail to spawn a final boss, and dry spells still happen despite good setup.
- Requires a capable mapper up front; this is an endgame currency strategy, not a leveling method.
