Strategy
The rarity bot is a magic-find support character whose entire job is to multiply the currency a party finds — it runs alongside damage carries in duos or groups and stacks well over 500% item rarity. After the Gravebind nerf many players assumed rarity bots were dead; this rebuilt version drops the old presence-AoE plan and instead leans on Culling Strike threshold, which arguably makes the setup stronger than before while keeping the gameplay almost entirely passive.
The key insight is Culling Strike threshold: it raises the life percentage at which enemies are instantly executed on hit. By stacking it high enough, the bot doesn’t just find more loot — it actively contributes party damage by deleting rares before they reach low life, effectively doubling the party’s damage against the rares and uniques that drop most of the loot.
It runs on the Ritualist ascendancy so it can equip three And-various rings for a huge rarity boost, then layers culling uniques and tree nodes on top. The playstyle is deliberately low-effort: throw out Spark projectiles and let the culling sparks vacuum up packs.
Atlas Tree & Setup
This is a character setup rather than an atlas strategy — pair it with whatever farming the party runs. Skills are simple: Spark with Seon’s Temper, Valenta’s Propulsion, Pierce, Rapid Cast, and Prolonged Duration to flood the area with culling projectiles, plus Convalescence for on-demand energy-shield recovery and optionally Blasphemy + Temporal Chains (or Blink for mobility). Specifics to confirm against the source video.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: low entry, high to fully min-max · Returns: 500%+ item rarity for the party plus meaningful added damage from culling · A corrupted Meginord’s Visage with any extra culling threshold (~a few exalts) is the big early breakpoint; the Horror’s Flight culling craft is the expensive endgame step
Step-by-step
- Take Ritualist and equip three And-various rings for the rarity core; add an Ingenuity belt to multiply rarity further (note it also amplifies negative resists, so cap resistances on gear).
- Stack Culling Strike threshold: Meginord’s Visage helmet (+100% threshold) and Death’s Blow gloves (permanent culling), plus tree nodes — Bounty Hunter, Hunting Companion (anoint), a Heart of the Well jewel, and Call the Hordes — for ~225% vs rares / 185% vs normals. Aim for the 186% breakpoint to instantly execute full-life normal mobs.
- Solve resistances with three Grand Spectrum jewels (corrupt for more resists) and energy-shield jewels everywhere else.
- Budget alternative: keep Death’s Blow gloves, or use Horror’s Flight without permanent culling plus a Culling Strike 2 support gem — about 99% cheaper while still culling rares and uniques.
- End-game min-max: move the culling effect to Horror’s Flight gloves (Fear Incarnate, up to +200% threshold, ~425% total), add an Adorned jewel, and a Mageblood with Legacy of Gold.
Risks
- The full Horror’s Flight culling craft is by far the most expensive part and is overkill for getting started
- Ingenuity’s negative-resist swing makes resistance capping a constant gearing constraint
- It’s a party/support build — solo value is limited, so it relies on having carries to play alongside
