Strategy

This is a Breach “Hiveblood rush” strategy that exploded in value after patch 0.5.3 reworked the Breach tree UI. Previously, spending Hiveblood meant clicking Wound Gifts one at a time — a slow grind that made the farm a chore. The new UI lets you spend your entire Hiveblood stockpile almost instantly, which turns Hiveblood farming into one of the smoothest currency strategies in the patch.

The loop is deliberately simple: juice every map for Hiveblood quantity, blast through it fast, and convert the accumulated Hiveblood into Wound Gifts in bulk. It is described as about as close to an “alch-and-go” strategy as you can get — low setup, low investment, and it scales well with character speed, so it works as a casual starter strat and as a high-end farm alike.

Atlas Tree & Setup

Complete your full Breach atlas tree — only the tablet-effect nodes actually increase Hiveblood gained, but a finished Atlas tree adds natural juice to every map and makes each run more lucrative. Waystones are trivial: any six-mod tier-15 waystone works (six mods are required so you can slot three tablets). Allocate, double-exalt, and corrupt; the map mods themselves do not affect Hiveblood gain, so corrupting for tier-16 upside and free sale value is the default.

Investment & Returns

  • Investment: low (cheap setup) with a high-investment city variant · Returns: ~30–60 div/hr · scales with map speed
  • Cheap setup: 3x Breach tablets whose only mandatory mod is 30–60% increased quantity of Hiveblood found. These are extremely common (~9ex each). Occasionally mix in Wound Gift quantity tablets to keep your Wound Gift stock up.
  • Expensive setup: 4x Breach tablets in City maps (cities grant more tablet effect), ideally rolling both high Hiveblood and Wound Gift quantity at 45–60% each, plus 200% Delirium for extra ground loot.
  • Ground loot adds up — roughly two divines of loot per map at 15–18 maps/hr, so secondary mods like monster rarity, rarity of items, and pack size are worth chasing once the mandatory quant mod is covered.

Step-by-step

  1. Finish your full Breach atlas tree (and the rest of the Atlas tree for natural juice).
  2. Buy stacks of cheap Breach tablets with the increased-Hiveblood-quantity mod (add Wound Gift quantity tablets as needed).
  3. Take any six-mod tier-15 waystone, allocate, double-exalt, and corrupt it.
  4. Run maps fast, opening Breaches and stacking Hiveblood.
  5. Spend the full Hiveblood stockpile in bulk via the new tree UI to generate Wound Gifts.
  6. For higher throughput, switch to the 4x-tablet City + Delirium variant with high-value tablets.

Risks

  • Returns scale heavily with map speed — a slow character makes far less than the headline number.
  • Tablet prices can drift after a popular video, though common Hiveblood tablets normalize within days.
  • The expensive City + Delirium variant demands a tankier, faster build to handle 200% Delirium.
