Strategy

This strategy runs two of the strongest post-patch farming mechanics side by side: fully-juiced Expedition and the Temple of Atzoatl. Its headline appeal is that the core drops aren’t scaled by item rarity, so it stays extremely profitable even on a character with literally zero rarity on gear. Expedition has picked up a stack of buffs over the last month and is arguably the strongest league mechanic in the game right now, while GGG’s decision to move Temple currency drops out of maps and into the Temple itself sent those currencies’ value sharply up — exactly the kind of market shift this setup exploits.

It’s really two farm strategies at once (three if you count Grand Expeditions separately), so it’s aimed at endgame mappers who want variety to avoid burnout while still printing currency. If you were running the old Delirium + Expedition setup, the pitch here is simple: Delirium-sourced value is down because everyone farms it, and Temple value is up — so swap.

Atlas Tree & Setup

Run the mechanic in three rotating phases: a full set of ~10 ocean travel nodes (with triple Temple tablets), then ~10 Grand Expeditions (with triple precursor/irradiated tablets), then burn all the Temple charges you’ve banked — and repeat. You bounce tablet sets because Temple and Expedition want different mods.

Use Jado’s mastery: unexpected missions, eastern knowledge (10% chance to reroll all Verisium remnants), partial translations, and untold history (more lineage supports from Olroth). On tablets, the only Temple suffix that still matters after the drop change is chance to gain an additional crystal from Vaal Beacons — combined with Jado this averages roughly an extra 0.75 crystal per map, turning every 10 maps into 6-8 back-to-back Temple runs. Irradiated tablets only need monster/item effectiveness and rarity (rare-monster mods now work in Expedition after a recent fix). Atlas passives go desert-themed via Cultivate the Sea, plus the Expedition tree’s extra-remnant and double-runic-modifier choice nodes, and an essence package (perfect essences, duplication) since desert maps favour essence monsters. Specifics to confirm against the source video.

Investment & Returns

  • Investment: mid — bulk Temple, precursor/irradiated tablets, and liquid Verisium kept in your bags for rerolling low-value remnants.
  • Returns: high — the creator describes stretches of four good Temples in a row netting 20-30 Divines in ~20 minutes from currency rooms alone, on top of raw Expedition and map drops.
  • Scaling: no rarity required, so returns come from throughput; the more crystals you bank and the better your Temple layout, the more high-value currency rooms you cycle.

Step-by-step

  1. Set Atlas to desert via Cultivate the Sea and take the Expedition + essence passive packages.
  2. Run ~10 ocean travel maps with triple Temple tablets, killing Vaal Beacons for extra crystals.
  3. Run ~10 Grand Expeditions with irradiated tablets; hit big remnants early to chain runes, and grab Sentinels and monster-marker clusters for log books.
  4. Once you have ~6-8 Temple charges, run the Temple: build a straight path to Atzoatl connected to the Architect and Royal Access Chamber.
  5. Alternate Temple runs — one to relocate/kill the Architect and place the Access Chamber, the next to connect and kill Atzoatl. Keep the Architect from spawning boxed-in among reward rooms.
  6. Prioritise high-value currency rooms (Sacrificial Chamber → Vault Cultivation Orb ~5 Div, Corruption Chamber, Thaumaturge); use medallions to upgrade a room to level 4 for double currency.
  7. Keep liquid Verisium, Exalts, and Vaal Orbs in your bag to reroll cheap remnants and pop essence monsters on sight.

Risks

  • Temple layouts can go off the rails — a badly-placed Architect can cost three to five Temples to reset.
  • It’s micromanagement-heavy: two tablet sets, phase rotation, and constant remnant rerolling to maintain throughput.
  • Expedition + Temple have negative synergy within a single map (you do one or the other), so profit comes from the rotation, not stacking both at once.
  • Endgame-only; assumes a mapper that clears juiced T15-16 corrupted maps comfortably.
