Strategy
This is a cheap, high-return farming strategy that layers several of the league mechanics reworked in 0.5 through the atlas passive tree, with Abyss as its backbone. Rather than relying on one expensive mechanic, it stacks Abyss (boosted for more abysses per map), Rogue Exiles, Strongboxes, Spirits, Shrines and Expedition together so every map drips value from multiple sources. The Amanamu faction is chosen specifically because it can drop pricey Omens (Omen of Light, Omen of the Echoes) that sell quickly.
The synergy is the point: Rogue Exiles that die inside an Abyss respawn there and drop Granulated Orbs and Heart of the Vaal diamond jewels, a 0.5 atlas notable gives those jewels a 5% chance to drop as five-modded (worth 2-3 divine raw), Spirits possess strongboxes for valuable drops, and Shrines have a 25% chance to buff the map boss into far richer loot.
Atlas Tree & Setup
Fill the whole tree; the meaningful choosable notables are Seeking Shrine (item rarity), Vivid Spirits, Ruin essences, Ruiner’s Desires (abyss-influenced Heart of the Veil jewels), Overlord’s strongbox domain, Journey Ahead effectiveness, Nemesis Rising effectiveness, Opulence (item rarity), and Favour the Villain (shrine buffs the boss). On the Abyss tree take Lord of the Pit proliferation, the omen-boosting nodes, and Balance of Power Amanamu. Use Jade’s Spycraft with Eastern Knowledge and partial transition. Investment & Returns
- Investment: low — around 2 divine (180 exalted) per 20-map batch, mostly the additional-abyss tablet mod
- Returns: high — roughly 2.6 divine per map without lucky drops, ~4 divine with them (the creator’s 20-map breakdown totalled 58-81 divine)
- Scales with item rarity on waystones (aim 30-40%) and how many mechanics you stack
Step-by-step
- Roll six-mod waystones to ~30-40% item rarity (drop to five mods for an extra revive if your character is squishy)
- Run an elevated tablet (+1 zone level), an abyss tablet (the “additional abyss” mod is the only must-have), and an overseer tablet (empowers the map boss)
- Pick Amanamu faction for the Omen drops
- In-map, cover the map with abysses, kill Rogue Exiles inside them, fully juice Researcher’s and spirit-possessed strongboxes with exalts, hit shrines, and do every Expedition and Delirium encounter
- Sell Omens, Heart of the Vaal jewels, runes and surplus tablets at the currency exchange
Risks
- Abyss plus stacked mechanics can overwhelm a fragile character — a reasonably tanky build is recommended
- Returns are partly variance-driven (Omens, five-mod jewels, isolation drops are the “lucky” upside)
- Requires a completed atlas tree before it performs
- Juicing every strongbox with exalts is an ongoing running cost
