Strategy
Tablet farming is pitched here as the most profitable strategy in Path of Exile 2 for one simple reason: most players already have a pile of tablets sitting in their stash, so the farm is effectively free money on inventory you already own. Even if you have been selling tablets as you go, they can be farmed for a very low cost relative to the returns.
The method has two halves. First, understand which tablet modifiers actually sell — so you can cash out the tablets you already hold or reroll them into something valuable. Second, run a triple-irradiated-tablet setup that farms even more tablets (and waystones) as you map. It works this patch because tablets are treated as waystones in the game’s code, so waystone-quantity scaling directly multiplies your tablet drops.
This is for anyone who maps regularly and wants to convert accumulated tablets into divines without a big upfront investment.
Atlas Tree & Setup
For the farming loop, run three irradiated tablets on a fully-modded T15 map. Three irradiated tablets spawn three random league mechanics rather than committing you to one — and because you drop a league’s tablets less often while running that league’s own tablets, staying “neutral” with irradiated tablets keeps your overall tablet drop rate high.
The one required irradiated modifier is increased quantity of waystones found in the map (it’s a common roll — roughly half of tablets carry it). Good secondary mods are increased effectiveness and “X additional random modifiers”; rarity and rare monsters are fine filler.
Atlas-wise, the creator only really cares about the Jato master, which lets you run anomaly maps alongside your farm. Low-effort nodes: Eastern Knowledge, Unforeseen Threats (nearby anomaly maps), Partial Translations (more effective tablets), Keen Appraisal. High-effort variant: swap to Unexpected Missions and run corrupted waystones for an extra random modifier. Specific node choices to confirm against the source video.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: low — you likely already own the tablets; rerolling costs only transmute/aug/alchemy orbs
- Returns: high — well-rolled rare/magic tablets go for tens of divines (best breach tablets approach ~100 div); even flat normal tablets sell for a good amount
- Scaling: more waystone quantity and effectiveness on your irradiated tablets means more tablet drops per map, compounding the farm
Tablet value ranking (most to least): well-rolled rare/magic → normal → random magic → junk rare.
Best modifiers to chase:
- Universal multipliers (good on any tablet): monster effectiveness and item rarity are premium; rare monsters / monster rarity are solid. These need a good base mod alongside them to be worth much.
- Ritual: “altars allow favours 1–3 additional times” is the jackpot (~20 div even at a roll of one). Omen mods stack value.
- Breach: “unstable breaches spawn 3 additional rares when stabilized” (a roll of three is ~1 div by itself).
- Delirium: stack more fracturing mirrors, rare monsters, and splinter size — splinter-maxing is the meta.
- Abyss: “20–40% chance to contain 4 additional abysses” is the premium line; pair with rare-monster multipliers.
- Irradiated: increased waystone quantity is near-required; additional modifiers on top.
Step-by-step
- Pull your existing tablets out of stash and sort by mechanic.
- To reroll: transmute + augment; if nothing good, hit with an alchemy orb to reroll everything. If one strong line lands, regal + exalt to try to add value; otherwise use the reforging bench (3-to-1) for a fresh rare.
- For clean irradiated tablets, chance orbs can hit useful unique maps (Forest / master domains are the ones worth anything).
- To farm more: run three irradiated tablets (with waystone-quantity) on a T15 map, ideally corrupted with waystone quantity for the tryhard version.
- Take the Jato atlas nodes above; boss-rush alongside your mapping to add value.
- Sell tablets as-is for a quick buck, or reroll into them yourself for the higher payout.
Risks
- Rolling into tablets is gambling — spamming chaos orbs can burn more currency than you earn; the creator prefers trans/aug → alchemy over chaos spam.
- Tablet prices swing with the market; the div values quoted are a snapshot of the current meta and will drift.
- Rolls of one/two on range mods (breach, ritual) sell for far less than a roll of three.
