Overview
This Disciple of Varashta build centres on Djinn command skills, not a traditional minion army. Fracturing is the clear engine. It shatters enemies standing on chilled ground, so the whole build is about spreading as much chilled ground as possible and recasting Fracturing on a short cooldown. Frost Nexus and Approaching Ground create and grow those surfaces, and Ice Nova with Expand starts the chain reaction.
The regular minions (Skeletal Warriors, Reavers, Frost Mage, Wolf Pack and others) are there to die. Every persistent minion type adds a Muster damage stack. Minion deaths trigger Cast on Minion Death, which feeds Power of Verisium for elemental infusions, so the build doesn’t need a separate Frost Bomb slot. Puppet Master stacks and Archon buffs push the damage higher. The Dominion notable removes the Archon cooldown so the buffs stay up almost permanently.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Screen-wide chain reactions on chilled ground make packs pop quickly
- A dedicated single-target rotation (alternating Deception and the sand skills) for rares and pinnacle bosses
- Low spirit requirements, since the build doesn’t try to stack a large minion army
- Command skills come back fast thanks to cooldown-recovery supports and Puppet Master
Cons
- Some key pieces are expensive (Total Stillness in particular), and prices shift across the league
- A fiddly setup: several gems are intentionally kept at low level or quality, and mistakes cost damage
- Fracturing does almost nothing when there isn’t chilled ground under the enemy
- Minion-heavy screen noise, and a lot of supports to manage
Key Skills
- Fracturing — main clear skill; detonates enemies on chilled ground, supported by Baiting III, Frost Nexus and Approaching Ground
- Deception / sand skills — single-target damage, alternated during boss fights
- Ice Nova — seeds chilled ground (Expand, Approaching Ground, Spell Cascade, Freeze)
- Cast on Minion Death + Power of Verisium — turns minion deaths into elemental infusions; keep Verisium low level so it costs less ward
- Sacrificial minions — Skeletal Warriors/Reavers/Wolf Pack with Infernal Legion I and Feeding Frenzy II; keep the Skeletal Cleric unqualitied so revived minions aren’t immune to damage
Gear & Anointments
A scepter with flat minion damage and +minion skill levels is the main weapon target. Rings focus on minion damage. The amulet wants +minion skills and spirit. Armour pieces stack base energy shield and resistances, with enough ward from rune/augment slots to power Verisium. The belt should roll increased command skill damage, which the creator values above generic damage.
- Jewel socket: From Nothing diamond allocating a large minion damage notable, or Ritual Cadence for faster minion revives
- Jewels: minion damage, minion crit and ES recharge
- The creator’s Mobalytics page lists a cheaper starter version plus more expensive upgrades
- Specific anoints are to be confirmed against the source video
Endgame Notes
The creator reports pinnacle bosses going down easily with the sand-skill rotation. Mapping relies on keeping chilled ground up so Fracturing stays active from pack to pack.
