Overview

Spark Cast-on-Ailment Infernalist is what happens when Spark stops being a damage skill and becomes an engine. The projectiles blanket the screen, apply elemental ailments and generate critical hits — and each of those outcomes feeds a separate automatic trigger package. Ailments charge two Cast on Elemental Ailment setups that rain Comets. Critical hits feed Cast on Critical for Living Bomb. Blocked attacks charge Cast on Block for yet another Comet wave.

The result is a caster with enormous screen coverage that keeps firing without any manual rotation beyond spamming Spark. Ward scaling ties the offence and defence together through Powered by Verisium, so block investment and ward investment both pay into damage instead of being pure defensive spend.

This is not a first-week character. The full version wants two Cast on Elemental Ailment setups, Cast on Block, Cast on Critical, heavy Spirit, strong ward gear, advanced supports and several item-granted skills. Treated as an endgame transition rather than a league starter, it is one of the strongest automated casters available this patch.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Near-total automation — Spark keeps four separate trigger engines running with no rotation to memorise
  • Boss damage is exceptional; multiple damage sources land on a single target simultaneously
  • Screen coverage is enormous, with Spark projectiles and automatic Comets clearing packs ahead of you
  • Scales indefinitely — Spark and Comet levels, cast speed, crit, Spirit, mana, ward, block and cooldown recovery are all meaningful upgrades

Cons

  • Expensive; the complete version needs serious investment before the systems fit together
  • Heavy Spirit requirements from running several meta and persistent skills at once
  • Mana management is a real constraint
  • Genuinely complex — this is not a build to transition into early or half-finished

Key Skills

  • Spark — the primary mapping skill and the engine behind everything; applies ailments and generates crits
  • Comet (via two Cast on Elemental Ailment setups) — the main automatic damage layer, supported with Energy Retention, Spell Cascade and Utre’s Omen
  • Living Bomb (via Cast on Critical) — a second automatic spell layer supported with Powered by Verisium, Boundless Energy and Arbiter’s Ignition
  • Frost Bomb & Flame Wall — manual boss-fight tools that keep cold and fire ailment pressure consistent
  • The Stars Answer — a premium late-game item skill that becomes part of the strongest damage setup

Gear & Anointments

The build leans on Verisium, Remnants of Kalore and The Stars Answer, with heavy ward scaling as the connective tissue — Powered by Verisium converts ward investment into elemental utility, so ward is both a defensive and offensive stat here. Raise Shield gives a direct defensive option and plays into the Cast on Block package.

Gear priorities are Spark and Comet skill levels first, then cast speed, critical consistency, ward, Spirit, mana and cooldown recovery. Spirit in particular is the gate on how many of the persistent and meta skills you can run at once, so treat it as a hard requirement rather than a nice-to-have. Specific anointments and uniques beyond those named should be confirmed against the source video and its linked build file.

Endgame Notes

The creator rates bossing, mapping and scaling at five out of five and league start at three. The practical advice is not to transition into the complete version too early — the build only performs once there is enough Spirit and ward gear to support every trigger system simultaneously.
