Overview

This build turns the Titan into something it was never meant to be: a mana-stacking caster. The whole package hangs off the Unborn Lich, a staff that grants His Scattering Calamity and scales spell damage off maximum mana. By pushing skill effect duration as low as possible, the well sprites the skill summons detonate almost instantly, converting a slow summon-and-wait spell into a continuous stream of chaining lightning projectiles.

Against bosses the loop is simply to keep casting and flood the arena with sprites. Their projectiles seek targets on their own, so the player is free to spend the entire fight on positioning while damage keeps landing. That automation is what makes an otherwise squishy caster archetype work on a melee-oriented ascendancy — there is no need to stand still and aim.

The Titan chassis pays off on the defensive side. A huge mana pool, energy shield converted through Eldritch Battery, and the ascendancy’s layered mitigation give the character a hit pool most casters never see. The trade-off is the entry cost: the build wants a good Unborn Lich and Morior Invictus before it feels like a build at all, which is why the creator recommends rolling into it from a different character rather than levelling it from scratch.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Effectively a one-button build while mapping — sprites seek and chain on their own
  • Strong sustained single-target damage without needing to stand still or aim
  • Very high hit pool for a caster thanks to Titan mitigation plus mana and energy shield
  • Scales cleanly and almost indefinitely with more mana, crit, and projectile modifiers
  • Energy shield does double duty as damage and survivability under Eldritch Battery

Cons

  • Gated behind the Unborn Lich and Morior Invictus — not a fresh-league starter
  • Needs a large mana pool before the gameplay feels smooth
  • Best-in-slot upgrades (Heart of the Well, From Nothing) carry heavy price tags
  • Levelling with the archetype is awkward; the real build only comes online at level 65

Key Skills

  • His Scattering Calamity — main damage; granted by the Unborn Lich, summons well sprites that fire chaining lightning projectiles. Supported with Compressed Duration to fire them faster, plus Rakiata’s Flow, Esher’s Radiance, Execute and Zenith for scaling.
  • Mana Tempest — converts the oversized mana pool into a burst damage window.
  • Cast on Critical → Ark — free extra damage layer that piggybacks on the crit already being generated.
  • Mana Remnants — the sustain engine; keeps casting affordable during clear.
  • Elemental Conflux — elemental damage buff, cycled quickly via Compressed Duration.
  • Blasphemy → Temporal Chains — permanent slow aura for defensive uptime.

Gear & Anointments

The weapon is non-negotiable: the Unborn Lich grants the main skill and provides both mana-based spell scaling and a chance for extra projectiles. Morior Invictus is best in slot for body armour, with a five-socket version as the higher-budget target. Heart of the Well is an optional jewel upgrade worth chasing for extra elemental and critical modifiers.

  • Amulet — an Absent amulet enables Cast on Critical for free, though it is not mandatory
  • Ring — Pneumonic ring for mana stacking plus resistances; aim for 200+ maximum mana and cast speed
  • Belt — rares until Mageblood or Headhunter are affordable
  • Helmet / Boots — energy shield, mana, resistances; movement speed and chaos resistance on boots
  • Gloves — critical damage, projectile skill levels, mana
  • Socket mana and crit jewels in every available slot

Endgame Notes

Quest rewards are taken as increased stun threshold (Venom Crypts), global defences (Tribal Medicine), and all elemental resistances (Halls of the Dead). Levelling, if attempted natively, runs Dusk Vigil with Firebolt plus Ember Fusillade until level 65, when the Unborn Lich and Morior Invictus can both be equipped and the build effectively starts. From there the progression is rares with more mana, more crit, and the remaining tree points.
