Overview
Snipe is normally a slow, charge-and-release bow skill, but the Gemling Legionnaire turns it into something you can spam. Advanced Thaumaturgy hands out extra gem quality across the board, Gem Studded rewards a perfectly balanced strength/dexterity/intelligence support split with a large skill-cost reduction, and Meteoric Implants adds two levels to dexterity skills. Stack those together and Snipe becomes a repeatable, high-crit nuke rather than a once-every-few-seconds commitment.
This iteration is an endgame refresh rather than a fresh-league plan. The gear budget went up and the payoff is roughly double the previous damage — north of five million DPS on Snipe — with a much sturdier defensive core to match. The body armour moved from hybrid to pure evasion so Ghost Dance actually converts evasion into meaningful energy shield on every hit, and Window of Opportunity quietly caps deflection rating without spending a single passive point on it.
The result is a bow build that reads as a boss-deleter first and a mapper second. Tornado Shot with Overabundance handles trash, but the real design work — Kaderos’ Gambit’s Diamond Arrows, the Effigy of Cruelty weapon swap, the Frost Wall damage conversion loop — all points at killing pinnacle bosses quickly.

- Gem Studded’s less-skill-cost bonus removes the mana problem Snipe usually has
Cons
- Not a league-start plan — it assumes a large currency pile and several specific uniques
- Kaderos’ Gambit only pays off once your rings and gloves already carry heavy flat damage
- The support-gem setup requires deliberately balancing strength/dexterity/intelligence counts, which is fiddly
- The best-in-slot amulet and the Paragon anointment are both priced out of reach for most players

- Snipe — the main damage skill, spammed with Window of Opportunity for the 35% more damage on perfect release
- Tornado Shot — clear tool, run with Overabundance, Rapid Attacks and Concentrated Area
- Frost Wall (Cast on Dodge) — Burglar’s Support turns destroyed ice crystals into large “damage as extra cold” stacks
- Thunderstorm (weapon set two) — crits to build Critical Weakness stacks via Effigy of Cruelty, up to 10% base crit chance
- Sniper’s Mark — Charged Mark shocks the boss, with Mark for Death and Mark of Siphoning alongside it
Gear & Anointments
The weapon is Quill Reign in its final rune-forged state, for the base physical damage, attack speed and the fork-to-extra-projectile implicit. The chest should be pure evasion rating with spirit and resistances — hybrid rolls are a trap here because Ghost Dance scales off the evasion pool. Kaderos’ Gambit replaces the rare quiver once your damage supports it, mainly for Diamond Arrows on single target. Severin’s Satchel takes the belt slot for the flask-to-energy-shield conversion, with the lost resistances made up on rings, gloves and runes.
Helmet is pure energy shield; gloves and rings all want tri-flat elemental damage (fire, cold, lightning, or a physical substitution). Boots stay on Decree of Flight for movement speed, faster dodge roll and the guard-on-dodge effect. The amulet is Beacon of Azis for resistance-ignoring crits. Second weapon set is a crit wand plus Effigy of Cruelty.
Anointment is Critical Exploit for the crit chance. Paragon is the upgrade if the budget allows.
Endgame Notes
The build is explicitly aimed at juiced maps and pinnacle bosses. A Timeless Emerald in the Dizzying Hits cluster lets you re-roll several crit notables at once, and a Heart of the Well or Prism of Belief jewel is the named long-term upgrade path once currency allows.
