Overview
This is the endgame half of the Plants Druid — an Oracle build that turns Entangle into a full-screen physical spell engine. The core idea is that Forced Outcome guarantees a critical hit on every cast, which makes Cast on Crit a reliable trigger rather than a gamble. Entangle spam feeds that trigger, and whatever is socketed in it (Bone Cage early, Bone Cage plus Thunderstorm later) detonates on top of the packs the vines are already shredding.
What makes the build interesting is that it stays cheap while scaling hard. There is exactly one mandatory unique — Night Scale gloves for crit and mana sustain — and everything else is rare gear built around plus levels to physical spell skills, energy shield bases and capped resistances. The creator splits progression into three explicit phases (T1-T7 early, T8-T15 mid, juiced T15/16 late), each with its own gem links and gear targets, so the build has a clear upgrade path instead of a single all-or-nothing setup.
Forced Outcome comes with a real cost: it shaves critical damage bonus each time it forces a crit, so the build wants roughly 50% base crit chance to keep that trade worthwhile. Below 35% the whole engine feels sluggish, which is the single most important stat threshold to hit.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- One-button mapping — Entangle alone clears most packs, with Cast on Crit handling the rest automatically
- Genuinely budget-friendly: only Night Scale gloves are required, and they are cheap and common
- Guaranteed crit via Forced Outcome removes the usual crit-build inconsistency
- Clear three-phase progression path with defined gear and gem targets for each stage
- Transitions later into a Comet-on-Cast-on-Crit variant for fully juiced maps
Cons
- Needs roughly 50% crit chance before the build feels correct; below 35% it underperforms badly
- Mana-hungry — Mana Remnants and enough spirit are effectively required by the mid endgame
- Weapon-set passive management adds a layer of setup that is easy to get wrong
- Single-target is functional rather than exceptional; boss kills rely on a Sigil of Power rotation
- The Comet transition only pays off in heavily juiced maps and is a trap if taken early
Key Skills
- Entangle — the main clear skill and the crit source that drives everything else; scaled with Accelerated Growth, Rapid Casting and Branching Fissures
- Cast on Crit — the automation layer, carrying Bone Cage early and Bone Cage plus Thunderstorm from the mid endgame onward
- Bone Cage — the primary triggered damage; scales with the same physical spell damage as Entangle and costs less mana than the alternatives
- Thunderstorm — added into Cast on Crit at the mid endgame for shock uptime and to keep the plants watered
- Sigil of Power — weapon-set-two boss setup; stand on it before committing to a single-target rotation
Gear & Anointments
The weapon slot is flexible — wand plus focus or a staff, whichever rolls better. Priorities are plus two levels to physical (or all) spell skills on the main hand, plus one on the focus, increased spell physical damage and spell critical hit chance. Night Scale gloves are the one required unique. Everything else wants pure energy shield bases where possible, with crit chance on the helmet, spirit on the chest and movement speed on the boots. Amulet targets plus levels to all spell skills, spirit, crit chance and damage bonus, and resistances.
For the first anointment, Careful Assassin pushes crit toward the 50% target; if crit is already there, take Cooked instead. Jewels are Sapphire bases looking for crit, crit damage bonus, spell damage, cast speed, damage with plants and mana on kill — Time-Lost jewels have no good home in this build for now.
Endgame Notes
Fourth ascendancy Entwined Realities changes tree planning significantly: useless keystones become free anchors that let you grab nodes inside their radius without pathing. Wild Surge Incantation unlocks Power of the Storm and Sacrificial Blood, Elemental Equilibrium unlocks Blood Tearing and Shredding Force, and Black Flame Covenant unlocks Cut to the Bone. The refunded points go into Sudden Escalation, Hallowed and Limitless Pursuit.
