Overview

This is a full minion-army Infernalist that hands almost all of the damage over to a screen-wide roster of summons. Rather than scaling a single skill on the character, the build stacks as many distinct minion types as possible — skeletal warriors, reavers, snipers, clerics, frost mages and storm mages, two spectres, and the Infernal Hound — so that every Master-supported minion gets stronger as the roster grows.

The damage core is the Power Zealot spectre, with the Chaos Zealot spectre and the skeleton line feeding it shock, extra bodies, projectiles and offering power. The character itself is built purely as a delivery platform: spirit to field the army, energy shield to survive, and enough rarity on gear to make the walk-forward playstyle profitable. Because 0.5 pushes spirit, minion scaling and spectre power together, the setup reaches a comfortable clear speed on a low budget.

The result is a low-input build. Most of a run is spent moving forward near the army with Pain Offering up, reaching for a curse only when something takes more than a moment to die.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Very low button count — minions do the killing while the character walks and maintains Pain Offering
  • Cheap to start; the core minion package works before any expensive uniques
  • Comfortable mapping with strong single-target once the spectres and the Sigil of Power window are set up
  • Room for heavy rarity stacking (150%+) without giving up clear speed
  • Energy shield defense with Convalescence as a recovery panic button

Cons

  • Damage is gated behind spirit, so the army only comes fully online as spirit gear is acquired
  • Curse handling changes once Rakiata’s Flow is socketed — keeping resistance-lowering curses up after that point is a damage loss
  • Screen clutter is heavy with a full army plus two spectres
  • Top-end jewels (Prism of Belief, Heart of the Veil, Megalomaniac) are upgrades, not something a fresh character can buy

Key Skills

  • Spectre — Power Zealot — the main damage source; supported for projectile clear with Pierce and Projectile Acceleration
  • Spectre — Chaos Zealot — secondary spectre carrying overcharge and charge generation for the army
  • Pain Offering — the buff to keep active at all times; magnified and duration-extended
  • Skeletal Storm Mages / Frost Mages / Snipers / Reavers / Warriors — body count and shock pressure that feed Master scaling
  • Summon Infernal Hound — an extra minion type and another body for the Master bonus
  • Blasphemy + Temporal Chains — optional defensive curse aura that makes mapping safer

Gear & Anointments

Main hand is a rattling sceptre with increased spirit, minion damage, levels of all minion skills and minion cast speed; a sceptre that grants a warrior minion adds another minion type for Master scaling. Off hand is a focus with energy shield, minion levels and resistances. Weapon set two carries a chiming staff for a pre-boss Sigil of Power cast, with the swap tree leaning into area and skill duration so the sigil is larger and lasts longer.

Body armour wants spirit and energy shield; the helmet wants minion levels and reservation efficiency; rings can be Ventor’s Gamble or rares covering spirit, life, rarity, resistances and attributes. The amulet wants spirit, minion levels and maximum energy shield. Cap elemental resistances first, then push chaos resistance while meeting attribute requirements.

For the amulet anoint, Essence Infusion is the cheap starting choice for the extra intelligence and recharge; Warlord Leader is the premium upgrade once affordable. The specific unique boots and jewels are called out on screen in the source video — confirm exact item names against it before buying.

Endgame Notes

After the campaign the priority shifts to maximum energy shield and recovery nodes so the character can hold up while minion damage keeps scaling. Ascendancy is Infernalist for the spirit and energy shield scaling, starting with Hellhound and then taking the reservation nodes that trade life and energy shield for more spirit. Lich and Oracle are workable alternatives with the same goal: stack spirit, stack energy shield, keep the army alive and let the Power Zealots carry the damage.
