Overview

This is the endgame continuation of a Disciple of Varashta character, picking up where the creator’s campaign guide leaves off and carrying it to a level 99 showcase. It is written for SSF, so the emphasis falls on atlas routing and deterministic crafting rather than on shopping lists.

The damage comes from two Djinn command skills. Kalari’s Deception, the sand Djinn, is the main clear and single-target skill: an AoE explosion that leaves clones behind, and casting it again detonates them for 50% more damage per use up to 300%. Ruzan’s Trap, the fire Djinn, seeds ground circles that become fire tornadoes when enemies step on them, filling in map clear. Navira’s Fracturing is a viable cold alternative but is slower and clunkier to set up. All of it scales primarily through stacked plus-levels to minion skills.

The build’s defining trick is uptime. These Djinn skills have cooldowns, which Archon of Undeath removes by granting effectively unlimited cooldown reduction while the buff is active. Archon buffs then have their own 20-second lockout after expiring — which the hidden amulet anoint Dominion deletes outright. Before Dominion the build is strong; after it, it changes character entirely.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Sacred Rituals converts 60% of energy shield into unbreakable armour, so ES stacking doubles as physical mitigation (64% PDR at 8.6k ES in the showcase)
  • Kalari’s Deception’s stacking detonation multiplier makes single target and clear the same button
  • Designed around SSF, so every upgrade path is a craft or a farm rather than a purchase
  • Chaos Inoculation once you clear 7-8k ES removes chaos, poison, and bleed as threats outright
  • Enormous min-max ceiling — lineage supports, Voices, The Adorned, and Breach minion uniques all apply

Cons

  • Dominion is a hard chase: it needs Potent Liquid Contempt from construct bosses under Delirium, which is a dedicated farm
  • Mana-intensive in the later stages and needs a well-rolled, ideally corrupted mana flask
  • Archon of Undeath does not always proc off the primary Djinn rotation, requiring Ruzan’s Brand spam as a fallback
  • The Chaos Inoculation transition gates a large chunk of the build’s power behind a specific ES threshold

Key Skills

  • Kalari’s Deception — main damage; Baiting 3, Muster, Magnified Area 2, Lightning Attunement for shock, and Kurgo’s Leash for Unholy Might
  • Ruzan’s Trap — clear support and the fallback Archon trigger; Baiting 2, Concentrated Area, Muster, Rearm 2, Long Fuse 2
  • Persistent minion package — Skeletal Warrior, Arsonist, Reaver, Sniper, Cleric and a Powered Zealot spectre, kept alive with Last Gasp and Minion Mastery so Muster damage stays maxed
  • Wolf Pack — companion running Meat Shield, Loyalty (10% damage redirection), and Last Gasp
  • Convalescence — mandatory alongside Chaos Inoculation for on-demand energy shield recharge

Gear & Anointments

The scepter is the biggest slot: a Putrefaction Omen on an item level 79-80 Rattling Scepter produced 142 spirit, allies in presence deal 58% increased damage, and +4 minion levels. Body armour is a Vile Robe, chosen for the higher inherent energy shield that comes from having no implicit, made via a greater orb transmute plus Essence of Enhancement into a desecrated prefix. A shield is kept until a +2 minion focus is crafted, since block plus energy shield pairs well with the 3-second recharge delay.

  • Dominion — the priority anoint; ideally on a Portent Amulet from the Breach tree that rolls a Wolf Pack spirit implicit to free 60 spirit
  • Ever-grasping ring — its self-damage is irrelevant under Chaos Inoculation, leaving 21% gain-as-chaos for free
  • Double-socketed Ancestral Tiara with +2 minion levels, enabling a Raven Touch Shard helmet anoint
  • Chase — +2 minion belt from Breach, Mageblood, Voices, The Adorned, and lineage supports (Kurgo’s Leash, Ulnatul’s Embrace, Zoff’s Pyre, Amanamu’s Tithe)

Endgame Notes

Atlas routing is deliberate: a quick stop at Delirium to unlock amulet anointing, then the Fortress for Essences and Map Sustain to push to T15 as fast as possible, then Abyss points for crafting currency and Amanamu-influenced monsters. After that it is back to Delirium to farm Dominion, then Breach for minion-specific uniques. Early crafting rests on three pillars — greater augment and transmutation orbs, Essences of Enhancement for guaranteed increased-ES rolls, and Abyssal currency (Omen of Sinistral Necromancy plus a Preserved Rib) for a deterministic hybrid ES prefix. Putrefaction Omens on scepters and focuses are the highest-leverage early craft.
