Overview
This Werewolf Oracle deliberately reserves itself down to a sliver of life in order to switch on every low-life multiplier the passive tree quietly offers. Below thirty-five percent maximum life the character collects Dicerack’s increased damage tiers, Killer Instinct, Pain Attunement’s thirty percent more critical damage bonus, and Execute 3 — which on this ascendancy hands out one more-multiplier for the character being low life and a second once the enemy is low life too. Six separate multipliers hang off a single condition, and the whole gear list is built to make that condition survivable.
Getting there is a chain of interactions rather than a stat. Azerius Communion supported by Mana Remnants flips spirit reservation into life reservation, and the Lord of the Wilds keystone doubles that reservation as its downside. Because Communion also reserves the cost of other supports linked into the same skill, the total pushes the character below the low-life threshold on purpose. Lord of the Wilds pays for itself twice by also allowing a non-unique sceptre in the off hand alongside a two-handed talisman, which is where the build recovers its spirit.
Damage is a rage loop that gets paid twice. Rage grants attack damage normally, Mystical Rage on the tree converts each point into two percent increased spell damage, and Crown of Eyes then applies that spell damage to attacks. Ferocious Roar, which costs no spirit, plus Raging Cry generates rage from surrounding enemies, and rage-on-melee-hit nodes keep the bar topped up.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Six stacking low-life multipliers make the damage disproportionate to the gear spend
- Entwined Realities lets the Oracle allocate notables near allocated keystones without pathing to them, saving a large number of passive points
- Kills pinnacle bosses, including Arbiter of Divinity, in seconds once the rotation lands
- Mapping is close to a single button — Pounce, Ferocious Roar, Lunar Assault
- The two non-negotiable items, Crown of Eyes and Decree of Loyalty, are both cheap
Cons
- Struggles badly in heavily juiced Simulacrum; not a Voices farmer in its current state
- A low maximum life pool makes the character far easier to stun until Shimmering Mirage and its lead-in nodes are taken
- Bleed and poison bypass energy shield entirely, which is why Decree of Loyalty is mandatory rather than optional
- Azerius Communion is expensive, and a top-tier magic talisman runs into the thousands of divines on trade
- Screen clutter from the explosion loop makes telegraphs hard to read
Key Skills
- Lunar Assault — the main skill, converting eighty percent of physical damage to cold with heavy freeze buildup; the only skill needed while mapping
- Shred — used on a frozen boss to knock ice fragments onto the ground
- Cross Slash — detonates the fragment pile for the boss-killing burst
- Ferocious Roar — zero-spirit rage generator that works on bosses as well as packs
- Pounce — movement skill that marks the target and summons a wolf squad on marked kills
- Lunar Blessing — over sixty percent extra gain-as-cold, but must not be supported by Morrigan’s Insight, which silently consumes the freeze Cross Slash needs
Gear & Anointments
Crown of Eyes is the single irreplaceable helmet — without it Mystical Rage does nothing for a claw character and roughly half the damage disappears. Decree of Loyalty is the mandatory body armour, stopping damage over time from bypassing energy shield and granting a large armour pool that the shield can then defend with. A Rune of Willpower redirects fifteen percent of incoming damage into mana. Mageblood with Legacy of Jade and Legacy of the Steel Knight adds evasion so hits land less often and energy shield gets more recharge windows, though a Chaveron Satchel is named as the cheap alternative that lets the life flask restore energy shield too. The talisman wants maximum rage, physical damage, critical chance and plus levels to attack skills — craftable for around seven hundred divines. The amulet is an Event Petals for the Midnight Zenith ice-flower explosions, or an Eternal Rich Absent amulet for the stronger, quieter alternative, with Zarox’s Gift allocated for the extra jewel socket. Jewels want energy shield, critical chance and critical damage; a Heroic Tragedy timeless jewel with the Line of Vana converts Mind Over Matter into a keystone that trades strength’s life for one percent increased energy shield per two strength. A From Nothing diamond jewel around Blood Magic is required so the surrounding notables can be taken without the keystone’s mana penalty.
Endgame Notes
The ascendancy order matters: The Unseen Path first, then Entwined Realities, then Lesser Harm, then Foregone Outcome. Foregone Outcome grants inevitable critical hits but penalises thirty percent less critical damage bonus per failed crit, so around fifty-five percent critical chance is still stacked purely to protect a critical multiplier well above seven hundred. Boss rotation is Lunar Blessing, Ferocious Roar, Repulsion, Pounce to mark, Lunar Assault until frozen, Shred, then Cross Slash.
