Strategy

This is a Breach-focused Hiveblood farming loop that converts a fast, low-investment mapping routine into high-value gambling on Wing Quills. The core idea is simple: farm Hiveblood in bulk from Breaches, buy cheap item-level 79+ Wing Quills off trade, and print belts in volume until a chase modifier lands. The strategy targets +2 to Level of all Minion Skills on belts, a modifier the creator reports has noticeably better odds than the equivalent +1 to all Spell Skills roll on rings.

What makes it work in 0.5 is throughput. Breach maps configured for Hiveblood quantity clear in about three minutes each, and every closed Breach reliably drops 2.5k+ Hiveblood. Around 50 maps yields the 500k Hiveblood the strategy is built around. The method also generates meaningful side income — 300–400k gold per map, occasional Divine drops, and Citadel fragments — which offsets the running cost even when the belt gamble misses.

It suits players who already have a build that can blast T16 maps quickly and who have enough of a bankroll to absorb variance. It is especially strong late in a league, when Wing Quills are cheap and demand for high-end minion gear is at its peak.

Atlas Tree & Setup

  • Atlas passives: Breach investment (the creator runs a 2/1/2/2 allocation into the Breach cluster) plus a Jaydo-style routing setup. This configuration produces roughly 100k Hiveblood every 8–10 maps.
  • Maps: random six-modded T16s. Prioritise city biomes — they allow four tablets, and Citadels sit close by. Copper Citadel fragments in particular sell for around 15 Divines each.
  • Tablets: Breach tablets are mandatory, and the only truly non-negotiable stat is increased quantity of Hiveblood — enough of it that every Breach floor is 2.5k. Useful extras: additional rare monsters when a Breach is stabilised, increased monster rarity, and increased gold from gold piles.
  • Genesis tree: the creator runs a dedicated belt-oriented allocation; the exact node layout is shown on-screen in the source video and shared via their Discord.
  • Targets: Wing Quills at item level 79 or above, bought for 1–5 Exalted Orbs each.
  • Loot filter: a strict filter (PoB Goons Uber Strict) is essential — you will be generating 600–700 belts per run and cannot inspect them by hand.

Investment & Returns

  • Investment: mid. The real cost is Wing Quills at 1–5 Exalted each plus roughly four hours of mapping. No expensive build items are required — the creator explicitly notes they are not running Temporalis and have not min-maxed.
  • Returns: high. The showcased run turned 500k Hiveblood into three qualifying belts, priced at roughly 600, 600 and 380 Divines — about 1.5k Divines across four hours, or ~400 Divines per hour.
  • Scaling: party play is the biggest multiplier. Hiveblood drops for every party member, so a five-player group can split Breach duties and cut map time to two or three minutes, reportedly reaching 100k Hiveblood in 15–20 minutes.
  • Baseline expectation: roughly 140 belts per 100k Hiveblood. One qualifying belt per 500k run is the realistic expectation; three is a lucky result.

Step-by-step

  1. Allocate the Breach cluster on the Atlas and set up the Genesis tree for belt outcomes.
  2. Stock Breach tablets with increased quantity of Hiveblood; add rarity, rare-monster and gold mods where you can.
  3. Buy item level 79+ Wing Quills in bulk while they are cheap (1–5 Exalted each).
  4. Run six-modded T16 city-biome maps. Ignore everything except locating and closing Breaches — speed is the whole point.
  5. Clear nearby Citadels when they are convenient; Copper Citadel fragments are the most valuable side drop.
  6. Bank Hiveblood until you reach 500k (roughly 50 maps solo, or far fewer in a party).
  7. Spend the entire stack on Wing Quills in one sitting and let the strict filter surface any hits.
  8. Price-check each qualifying belt against current trade listings before you list; fractured variants command a premium.

Risks

  • Pure variance. The belt outcome is a gamble. A 500k Hiveblood run can produce zero qualifying belts, and the four hours are gone regardless.
  • Bankroll-gated. Buying Wing Quills in volume before you have a hit means front-loading the cost with no guarantee of a return.
  • Time-sensitive pricing. +2 minion belt prices depend on where the league is in its cycle. Run this while minion builds are in demand — late-league listings move slower.
  • Requires clear speed. The whole economy of the strategy assumes ~3 minute maps. A slower build stretches four hours into a full day and drops the Divine-per-hour rate sharply.
