Strategy
Rakiata’s Flow is a lineage support gem that inverts an enemy’s elemental resistance — a boss sitting at 50% fire resistance is flipped to -50% instead. That makes it one of the largest single damage multipliers available to elemental builds in 0.5, and the market has priced it accordingly at roughly 140 divine orbs. This guide covers farming the gem yourself instead of buying it.
The gem has exactly one source: Minochi the Chosen, the boss of the Jade Isles “Eye of the Storm” map node on the Atlas. Because the drop is boss-locked, the usual “more monsters, more loot” approach does nothing here. Everything in this strategy pushes boss loot quantity and rarity instead of map density.
One caveat worth knowing before committing: the inversion works both ways. If an enemy already has negative resistance — say -30% fire — the gem flips it to +30% and you lose damage. Builds running this gem generally drop elemental penetration entirely and stack raw damage instead.
Atlas Tree & Setup
The Eye of the Storm node is gated behind a storm and requires character level 15 or above. To open it, clear the surrounding maps carrying the totem icon — they are identifiable by cloud wisps blowing toward the storm. Each completed map disables one totem; clearing them all dissipates the storm and opens the central Jade Isles node.
On the Atlas tree, Memories of Corai is the key allocation: it gives map bosses a 15% chance to drop extra lineage gems. Take it before you start running Eye of the Storm. The Azmeri spirit node is the second pickup, since spirit possession on the boss substantially raises drop quality.
Tablets do most of the remaining work. Overseer tablets granting increased rarity and increased quantity of items dropped by map bosses are the core pick, ideally stacked two deep. Tablets that add Azmeri spawns pair with the Atlas node above. The standout is Visions of Paradise, which strips the radiation from a completed map node without burning the map — that lets you run the same Eye of the Storm twice and doubles your attempts per unlock. These run about 6 divine each and are worth the cost on this strategy.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: mid — Visions of Paradise tablets at ~6 div each plus Overseer tablets, against a 140 div target item
- Returns: mid — a single Rakiata’s Flow is worth roughly 140 div, but the drop rate is low and there is no consolation prize
- Scaling: returns scale with waystone tier and waystone drop rate. Run the highest waystone you can, tier 15 or 16, and push increased waystone drop rate above 120% — it directly raises the chance of the boss dropping rare support gems
Step-by-step
- Reach character level 15 and locate Jade Isles, Eye of the Storm on your Atlas.
- Clear every surrounding totem-icon map to dissipate the storm and unlock the central node.
- Allocate Memories of Corai and the Azmeri spirit node on the Atlas tree.
- Prepare tier 15-16 waystones with 120%+ increased waystone drop rate.
- Slot two Overseer tablets for boss rarity and quantity, plus an Azmeri spawn tablet.
- Apply a Visions of Paradise tablet on the first run so the node can be re-run without burning.
- Run the map, kill Minochi the Chosen, then re-run the node using the removed radiation.
- Optional, for tanky characters only: route melee Azmeri spirits into the boss fight. If a spirit possesses Minochi, drop quality and rarity increase sharply — and so does the fight difficulty.
Risks
- The drop rate is low. The creator needed roughly 8-10 runs, and there is no partial payout for failed attempts.
- Minochi hits extremely hard. Bring genuine single-target damage and real defensive investment, or the runs become unaffordable in waystones.
- Spirit-possessed boss runs raise both reward and lethality; attempt them only on a tanky character.
- Tablet costs accumulate. If the market price of Rakiata’s Flow falls, the strategy’s margin narrows quickly.
