Strategy
This is a mid-range ring craft aimed at the first week of a league — specifically around day five and onward, not the opening days. The target product is a rare attack ring carrying two or three flat elemental damage modifiers plus stacked resistances, which is exactly what attack-based builds are shopping for while nobody has enough currency for perfect gear yet.
The method works because catalysts bias the outcome of an exalt slam. Applying 20% of a breach catalyst that matches a resistance already on the ring, then slamming with Omen of Catalysing Exaltation active, makes the game far more likely to hand you a modifier carrying that catalyst’s tag. Combined with Omen of Dextral Exaltation to force a suffix, the only fire-tagged suffix left on a ring that already has fire resistance is “to all Elemental Resistances” — a highly desirable roll. The same trick with Uul-Netol’s catalyst on the prefix side forces physical damage to attacks.
It is gambling with weighted dice, not a deterministic craft. The creator is blunt about needing roughly 10 Divine Orbs of working capital to absorb the variance, and warns that anyone claiming this is a cheap beginner craft is not telling you the truth.
Atlas Tree & Setup
There is no atlas component — this is a bench-and-trade method. The setup that matters is the trade filter used to source bases, and the creator links a saved filter in the video description. Its shape: magic rings with a flat elemental damage to attacks modifier plus an elemental resistance, weightings tuned so lightning damage ranks slightly above cold and fire (lightning being the most valuable flat modifier for attack builds), physical damage to attacks explicitly excluded, unwanted implicits excluded, and item level 75 minimum with higher being better.
Tier four is the practical sweet spot early — tier one bases exist but the price climbs steeply. As the league matures, raise the weighting thresholds so the filter only surfaces tier three and tier two rolls.
Currency shopping list: greater essences (Essence of Opulence for rarity if cheap, otherwise a resistance essence), breach catalysts matching your rings’ resistances, Uul-Netol’s catalysts for the physical tag, Omen of Catalysing Exaltation, Omen of Dextral Exaltation, Greater Exalted Orbs, Preserved Collarbones and Omens of Abyssal Echoes.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: high — roughly 10 Divine Orbs of buffer before you start, since the craft bricks often
- Returns: a successful ring sells for 10–20 Divine early league; a ring landing three tier-one flat damage modifiers or tier-one rarity can reach 100 Divine even later in the league
- Scaling: buying higher-tier magic bases raises both cost and ceiling. Once you hit tier-one physical alongside tier-one lightning, Omen of Light spamming for a third tier-one damage modifier becomes worth it
Step-by-step
- Buy magic ring bases with flat elemental damage to attacks plus an elemental resistance, item level 75+, using the trade filter. Avoid lightning-resistance bases when Zealot’s catalysts are expensive.
- Apply a greater essence to make each ring rare — Essence of Opulence for rarity when cheap, otherwise a second resistance.
- Apply the breach catalyst matching the resistance already on each ring, maxed to 20% quality.
- Activate Omen of Dextral Exaltation and Omen of Catalysing Exaltation, then Greater Exalt. You are fishing for “to all Elemental Resistances”.
- Set aside every ring that missed. Chaos resistance is an acceptable alternative hit; life regeneration is a brick.
- On the survivors, deactivate Omen of Dextral Exaltation, apply Uul-Netol’s catalyst to max, keep Omen of Catalysing Exaltation active, and Greater Exalt again for physical damage to attacks.
- Apply a Preserved Collarbone, then evaluate whether an Omen of Abyssal Echoes is worth its current price before using it to chase another flat damage to attacks.
- Price aggressively — these are not fast sellers in the first week, when most buyers are saving rather than spending.
Risks
- This is genuine gambling. The creator reports runs of ten rings where nothing sold for enough to cover the cost.
- Doing it in the first few days will lose you currency — the input currencies are at their most expensive and buyers have the least to spend.
- Catalyst prices swing hard between leagues. Zealot’s catalysts for lightning resistance are often prohibitive, so plan your bases around whichever catalyst is cheap that league.
- The Essence of the Breach recovery route (pushing quality past 20% to remove an unwanted mod) needs Omen of Whittling and Reaver catalysts, which can cost 10 Divine on their own and roughly double the craft’s cost.
