Strategy

In 0.5.5 this is no longer a pure Omen of Light farm. It is a broader Abyss and raw-currency strategy. Omens of Light now drop far less often in normal maps and much more often inside Abyssal Depths, where any rare monster can drop one whatever faction you picked. The only way to still get Omens inside the map itself is the Amanamu faction’s void-smoke rares. Because of that, the plan is to juice the whole map with rarity and extra pits so every part of the loot table pays: Omens of Light, raw Divines, Perfect Exalts and Jeweller’s Orbs, Heart of the Well, and the rare jackpot chest drops (Ancient Jawbones and Craniums).

Craniums and Ancient Bones seem slightly more common from chests this patch and are the most valuable Abyss drops at about 15–17 div. They only drop from chests, never monsters, so Abyssal Troves are worth opening a second time with Cryptic Keys. The creator rates the farm B tier: not the strongest in the game, but steady profit at low setup cost.

Atlas Tree & Setup

  • Jado mastery — Unexpected Missions (mandatory when you run corrupted maps) and Partial Translations (up to 40% increased tablet effect) are must-takes; add Mysterious Gifts for Cryptic Key sustain and the better-chest node for more rare chests
  • Abyss tree — pick the Amanamu faction for in-map Omen chances; Scattered Pits if your tablets don’t already carry per-closed-pit effectiveness
  • Biome nodes — more currency chests in water biomes, more rares in forest biomes, item rarity over effectiveness, Rogue Exiles everywhere (they can drop Heart of the Well), shrines for comfort
  • Waystones — at least 55% item rarity and 25%+ monster rarity; rarity raises your loot floor and tablets raise the ceiling
  • Tablets (3–4) — item/monster rarity on every tablet, increased effectiveness, additional pits, desecrated currency, one tablet with Abyssal Depths and optionally a rare-monsters mod; city maps allow a fourth tablet

Investment & Returns

  • Investment: mid — a four-tablet set costs around 11–20 div if you don’t chase perfect rolls; don’t pay more than 15–20 div (four tablets) or ~15 div (three tablets)
  • Returns: roughly 50–60 div per 10 maps on average luck, from 4–7 Omens of Light (about 8 div each), 6–12 raw Divines and 1–2 Craniums/Ancient Bones; the best map recorded was about 30 div
  • Scaling: more Omen drops and a jackpot chest push returns much higher; a 200% Delirium variant is untested but likely better if you clear it fast

Step-by-step

  1. Allocate the Jado nodes and the Amanamu Abyss tree described above
  2. Buy or roll waystones with 55%+ item rarity and 25%+ monster rarity; prefer corrupted city maps
  3. Slot three or four cheap tablets with rarity, extra pits, desecrated currency and one Abyssal Depths mod
  4. Close every pit and always enter Abyssal Depths when one spawns, killing every rare
  5. With Amanamu, pull void-smoke rares out of the black smoke before killing them, or they won’t drop an Omen
  6. Use Cryptic Keys to open Abyssal Troves twice for extra Cranium/Ancient Bone chances

Risks

  • High variance: some maps return only a single Divine, and Depths spawns are random
  • Omens of Light in the map itself are rarer than in 0.5, so income leans on overall loot
  • Tablet prices rise with demand; if a set costs more than two to three Omens, other farms pay better
  • Killing a rare inside its void smoke silently wastes the Omen chance
