Strategy
Delirium splinter farming targets one item: Simulacrum. Each one sells for roughly two Divine in patch 0.5.5, and a properly configured map is close to guaranteed to produce at least one — usually one to three depending on how heavily the map is juiced. That makes the strategy a rare thing in Path of Exile 2: a farm with a hard floor rather than a lottery.
The loop is built on the Grand Mirror. While farming Delirium in maps you unlock a Grand Mirror, then use it to designate an area where Simulacra and Delirium fog will spawn. Choosing a city as that area is the key decision — cities support four tablets instead of three, which is where the extra splinters come from.
The other half of the strategy is reaching 200% Delirium before touching any city map, so that every high-value run happens at maximum fog. This is the creator’s favourite strategy carried over from 0.5, adjusted for 0.5.5.
Atlas Tree & Setup
Unlock a Grand Mirror through normal Delirium play, then use it to select a city as the farming area. Outside a city the strategy still works, it just runs on three tablets and yields less.
Ramping to 200%: run the non-city maps around the target area first — grass biomes, crypts, whatever borders the city. On those ramp maps slot three tablets whose only requirement is increased rare monsters, as high as possible. Every rare killed inside Delirium fog pushes the Delirium percentage up fastest. At least one Delirium tablet is sensible; the other two can be anything (Aratid, Overseer, more Delirium) as long as they carry rare monster count.
Once at 200%, switch to the four-tablet city payload: one tablet with increased Delirium fog spawns and increased mirror shards, at least two with increased stack size of Simulacrum splinters found, and one with increased chance to spawn a unique boss. Jato is the Atlas leader of choice, running Unexpected Missions, Unforeseen Threats, Partial Translation and Long Days.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: mid to high — the maximum-return version corrupts maps and burns three Omens per map
- Returns: high — at least one Simulacrum per map at roughly 2 Divine each, typically two to three in a juiced city
- Scaling: splinter stack-size tablets and the unique-boss tablet are where the upside lives
Loose splinters convert at roughly 170 per Divine, or 2 splinters for 3 Exalted, but holding them to complete Simulacra is clearly better value. The high-end map roll uses Omen of Chaotic Quantity, Omen of Chaotic Rarity and Omen of Chaotic Effectiveness on a one-revive map, then a Chaos Orb — this drops the map to zero revives but pushes monster rarity and effectiveness toward 100%. Target anything above roughly 65–70% on both. Corrupting afterwards enables the Unexpected Missions payoff but risks bricking the roll.
Step-by-step
- Farm Delirium normally until a Grand Mirror drops; complete it and select a city as the farming area.
- Roll three tablets stacked with increased rare monsters and clear the maps surrounding the city until Delirium reaches 200%.
- Prepare the four city tablets: mirror shards plus fog spawns, two with increased Simulacrum splinter stack size, and one with increased unique boss chance.
- Roll the city map — either a plain eight-mod corrupted map, or the Omen version for maximum rarity and effectiveness.
- Run the map and clear every mirror shard and every monster that spawns from them. Missing shards means missing splinters.
- Do not end Delirium early. Kill the map boss first, then end the run for the maximum splinter drop.
Risks
- The Omen roll is expensive and prices are volatile — Omen of Chaotic Quantity alone ran around 160 Exalted at the time of recording.
- Corrupting after the Omen roll can brick the map and waste the whole investment.
- The one-revive-to-zero-revive trade means a death ends the map outright.
- Splinter stack sizes are random; the guaranteed part is the Simulacrum floor, not the size of the pile.
- Simulacrum price is what carries the strategy, and that price will drift as the league ages.
