Strategy
The premise is a reaction to endgame FOMO: you do not need a dedicated farm to make good currency in the 0.5 endgame. By following the questline in the right priority order and juicing every map you run along the way, you can fund your first character and seed your later farms without ever setting up a specialized strategy. The creator tested this with bare-minimum Alch-and-Go waystones at T7, T11, T15, and T15 expedition and pulled steady divine returns from all of them.
The method works because six systems stack into your map area juice: the main Atlas tree, the mechanic Atlas trees, the masters, waystones, tablets, and item rarity from gear. In 0.5 the balance has shifted so that the main Atlas tree and tablet sustain are far more powerful than before — and much of that power is gated behind questline progress, which is exactly why players feel they have a mountain to climb before farming. The insight is that you can juice while you climb rather than waiting until the end.
This is aimed at casual and newer players who only have a couple of hours a night and want the endgame to be rewarding without a rushed, specialized farm.
Atlas Tree & Setup
The main Atlas tree (the fortress) is gated in two natural phases by the Arbiter fights. Phase one is the bottom half: unlock the first area via a western or eastern tier-5 gateway, then prioritize pack size, magic monsters, and rare monster nodes for experience and loot, plus tablet and waystone sustain — Eons of Contamination (irradiated precursor tablets), Reverse Transcription (three-mod tablets), and the specialized seeker / valuable paths nodes. Wherever there is a choice, the creator leans toward effectiveness over pack size or rarity.
After defeating the Arbiter of Ash you open the northern half — more tablet sustain, city nodes (important for late juicing), biome mastery nodes (lineage chance in forests, fracturing-orb chance from hidden scars, tablet quantity in mountains), and the powerful Patriarch/Matriarch Hall nodes. The Arbiter of Divinity unlocks four-mod tablets and the final area. For mechanic trees, run one tablet type into every map; Abyss is the recommended first pick (Omens via Vile Treasures, Lord of the Pit for Rogue Exile synergy), with Breach as the alternative. Bring Jado online as your master (partial translations, long days, unforeseen threats, keen appraisal), and fill the Expedition tree (double-or-nothing, extra remnants, logbook quantity). Alch-and-Go means alching a normal/magic waystone for four mods and two revives, letting your tablets, mechanic, and Atlas tree do the juicing.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: low — Alch-and-Go waystones, no specialized farm setup, no hideout crafting required
- Returns: roughly 5 divine per 15 maps at T7/T11, ~6 divine at T15, and ~9 divine for a juicy T15 expedition run — plus tablets that often sell over a divine each
- Scaling: returns climb as you complete more of the main Atlas tree and mechanic trees; expedition (via Grand Expedition remnants) is the single most profitable step and scales hard with double-or-nothing
Step-by-step
- Enter the fortress and unlock the first Atlas area via a tier-5 western/eastern gateway; grab pack size, rare monsters, and tablet sustain
- Unlock one mechanic tree — Abyss recommended — and run its tablet in every map to fill the tree
- Bring Jado online as your master and spend points on tablet effect, extra content, and exceptional-item find
- Push to and defeat the Arbiter of Ash to open the northern Atlas tree
- Run the Ruins of Kingsmarch expedition questline and fill the Expedition Atlas tree — Grand Expeditions are easy money (chase the most valuable remnant, verify prices on poe2scout)
- Finish the Arbiter of Divinity to unlock four-mod tablets and the strongest Atlas nodes; use origin cores to re-run and sweep large sections of points
- Travel outward in a straight line (corrupted nexus for Dorian) to keep hitting fresh content, juicing every map with your tablet + Atlas + master stack
Risks
- The Arbiter of Ash is a genuine difficulty wall — you need your build online and to know the fight before it stops blocking progress
- There are no respecs, so avoid Atlas nodes that spike map difficulty (effectiveness nodes especially) while your character is still weak, and pick them up later
- Mechanic questlines (Abyss, Breach, Expedition) can be janky and easy to get stuck on — read the dialogue rather than rushing
- Returns are steady, not explosive; this is a fund-your-character pace, not a mirror-farming strategy
