Strategy
Fervor’s guide is aimed squarely at players who cannot commit long sessions — the explicit framing is “dad gamer” play, where you get an hour or two and want residual currency rather than a peak-efficiency grind. It covers four strategies at increasing setup cost, and usefully spends time debunking one that used to be good and no longer clears the bar.
The two temple strategies are the headline because they need almost no investment. The Azari rush builds a highway through the middle of the temple to the architect and then to Azari’s chamber, netting roughly 10 Divine per hour for essentially zero setup. The smithy rush is the more involved sibling: build chains of workshops, smithies and armouries feeding a generator room, upgrade the forges to level 3 and ideally level 4, then spend two to five minutes per visit running only the high-tier forges. A single two-minute run in the video returned about two Divine even with one smithy already destabilised.
The Kolmarmac rush is the one being debunked. It was worth roughly 50 Divine per hour in 0.5, but invitations now cost around 1,160 Exalted while the guaranteed ancient bones sell for 1,185 to 1,300 — margins of roughly 100 to 200 Exalted per run. It still profits, but only if you blitz it at about a minute per invitation and bulk-trade the output; the barrier to entry is around 100 Divine.
Expedition is the hardest of the four and the only one with real setup, but it is where the per-map numbers land: about seven Divine from a single log book chain in the demonstration.
Atlas Tree & Setup
For expedition: Cultivating the Sea option three with grass, Double or Nothing with the 25% chance for additional runic modifiers, Explosive on Steady Development, and Strategic Advantage speed if your build can handle it — take option two for less monster life if you are entry-level. Expanding Territory option one, and Calculated Investment option two for experience gain.
Masters: Jato Spycraft with Unexpected Missions, Eastern Knowledge (10% chance for Vaerix and remnants to reroll), Partial Translation, and Keen Appraisal. Newer or weaker characters should consider Doryani instead for Stitch the Flesh and its extra revive.
Tablets want rarity of items found and monster rarity. Waystone: tier 15 with six mods, chaos-orbed after an Omen of Chaotic Quantity, then evolved for the Jato synergy. Pack size is explicitly not needed for this setup.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: low for temple, high for Kolmarmac, mid for expedition
- Returns: temple rush ~10 Div/hr with no setup; smithy rush ~2 Div per two-minute visit; expedition ~7 Div per log book chain; Kolmarmac ~100-200 Exalted margin per invitation
- Scaling: an Olaroth’s Saga (~147-163 Exalted) guarantees the Olaroth pinnacle spawn, who drops Lineage Supports worth around 40 Divine each — the demo run returned a 295 Exalted shattered item on a losing roll and still profited
Step-by-step
- Start with the temple rushes — buy Cerise Asset temple wealth crystals (~23-29 Chaos for 10 uses; three or four is plenty) and build the Azari highway.
- For smithies, budget one to two hours of initial temple building: chain workshop-smithy-armoury lines into a generator room, and stack expendable rooms at the front as destabilisation fodder.
- Protect the generator room with a thaumaturge lab or chamber of souls, then run only the level 3 and 4 forges on each visit.
- For expedition, complete the expedition atlas tree first, then buy an Olaroth’s Saga and a log book (~59 Exalted if you are not finding your own).
- Check the rumour cheat sheet before committing — grade the three rumours and treat a mixed A/A+/B roll as an A-tier map.
- Prioritise the golden treasure chests over runes if your character is not fully built; reroll poor runes with Vaerix.
- Kill Olaroth on a white or magic tier 15 map with Untold Histories swapped in for Keen Appraisal.
Risks
- Smithy destabilisation is RNG and will eat rooms you spent an hour building
- Kolmarmac margins are thin enough that slow play or uneven bulk trades turn a profit into a loss
- Expedition is the hardest strategy here and assumes a completed expedition atlas tree
- Lineage Support prices (~40 Div) are volatile and are what make the Olaroth’s Saga purchase worthwhile
- Temple returns depend on crystal sustain from city maps, so they taper if you are not mapping alongside
